Bio (Writer / Director / Producer for Stage)
As a writer/director and producer for stage, Zach Mason was the co-creator/director/producer―with Lura Barber―of the improvised funeral show In Lieu of Flowers, before co-writing/directing/producing―with Kristin O’Brien―the plays Want and Need and Betty Blum (1937-1979). The latter play debuted at Imagination stage in Maryland before moving off-Broadway to The Flea in New York City. Betty Blum (1937-1979) also received a generous grant from the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC).
Bio (Writer / Performer for Stage)
As a writer and performer, Zach Mason studied under Ali Farahnakian, Will Hines, Kevin Mullaney, Beth Newell, Sarah Pappalardo and many more. He was a founding member of the Washington Improv Theater (WIT) Harold team Diviglio before producing and performing numerous shows in the DC/Baltimore area as a member of the duo Zach and Kristin. Zach performed in New York as part of the Del Close Marathon and at the Kennedy Center as part of WIT’s Unpaged to Stage show.
